Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, welcomes millions of tourists every year, both local and foreign. It’s known as one of the best places to visit in the UAE, and it’s easy to see why. Dubai has everything from world-class restaurants to luxury hotels to spectacular beaches, making it an ideal vacation destination if you want to indulge in some retail therapy while enjoying beautiful surroundings. Here are five of the best places to visit in Dubai that you don’t want to miss on your next trip there.
The BurjKhalifa
Dubbed by some as The Towering Jewel and recognized as The Tallest Building in The World, it is also one of Dubai’s top attractions. It is part of a larger complex that includes a mall, landscaped gardens, walkways and park areas. The BurjKhalifa itself stands at 828 meters with 160 floors. The overall impression you get after visiting is worth every dirham!
Bab Al Shams Desert Resort
A short trip away from Dubai, you’ll find a resort that looks more like an oasis than a place for tourists. A rather large property, Bab Al Shams features a swimming pool and café on site, but what really makes it stand out is its desert location. You can take sunset camel rides out into the sand dunes or relax in a traditional tent bed by nightfall (and there are other resort properties nearby if you don’t want to camp). Another nice amenity: Guests at Bab Al Shams get access to tours around Wadi Ham, which is great for serious photographers who want picturesque backdrops for their Instagram posts.
Burj Al Arab Jumeirah
An icon that you’ll find mentioned anywhere and everywhere about Dubai, The Burj Al Arab is one of my favorite places to visit in Dubai. With a room reservation you get access to the private beach with butler service, along with other amenities, which I love. It’s on top of a huge tower so it overlooks everything! You can pay extra for dinner at their amazing hotel restaurant or spa treatments (which are incredibly relaxing!) but it will cost you. Take your time and stroll around or go see what you can see. Grab a drink at one of their bars or watch fireworks over Dubai from one of their many rooftop pools!
Atlantis The Palm
This beautiful water park is one of my favorite places to go and relax. You can sit by the pool and cool off on a hot day, or you can relax in your cabana with a good book. Of course, if you’re with kids there are plenty of activities for them too; you could go snorkeling, paddleboarding, or even kayaking! No matter what you choose to do at Atlantis The Palm it’s sure to be fun.
Madinat Jumeirah
Whether you’re looking for a place to shop, a great restaurant or somewhere to enjoy breathtaking views, head on over to Madinat Jumeirah. The area is filled with retail stores, restaurants and even hotels that offer amazing views of Dubai. Additionally, many beaches are located nearby as well as several desert safari parks. There’s something for everyone at Madinat Jumeirah; it’s one of my favorite places in Dubai.
